जानकारी के मुताबिक, काठगोदाम से चलकर जयपुर-अजमेर के रास्ते जैसलमेर जाने वाली रानीखेत एक्सप्रेस जोधपुर के ओसिया में हादसे का शिकार हो गई। ये हादसा उस वक्त हुआ जब ये ट्रेन ओसिया और तिंवरी के बीच पहुंची थी, तभी ट्रेन का इंजन डिब्बों से अलग हो गया। हालांकि घटना के तुरंत बाद ही इसका पता लग गया और पावर ब्रेक लगाकर इंजन को रोक दिया गया, लेकिन तब तक डिब्बे करीब 15-20 फीट आगे जा चुके थे। घटना के बारे में जानकारी मिलने पर रेलवे के अधिकारी कर्मचारी तुरंत मौके पर पहुंचे।

Dec 27 2016 (6:47PM) Desert After storm the desert camp in osiyan, ride back to jodhpur from this old world hamlet in phalodi - jodhpur section was a lot of time consuming in this passenger train 3 hrs for 60 kms Old world signalling technology with semaphores and metallic wire rings thrown by drivers Negligible good traffic, 4 express/1 sf exp and only one passenger train a day is the list of travel itinerary I must say that this is one of the most underutilized sections of IR having so much tourism potential
