एक और दशक गुज़र गया और गिरिडीह को किसी बड़े शहर के लिए सीधी ट्रेन नहीं मिली। आज भी मधुपुर और पारसनाथ के भरोसे रहना पड़ता है। इस साल कम से कम कोलकाता पटना या रांची के लिए ट्रेन मिल जाएगी ऐसा लग रहा था। अगर अंग्रेज़ न होते तो शायद गिरिडीह में रेलवे सेवा कभी पहुंचती भी नहीं।
