The photo shared above is that of the Howrah Junction Railway Station Bus Stand. It can be seen from the photo that many Private Buses (Including Mini Buses) depart and arrive from various locations of Calcutta (Kolkata) city. I am not much sure whether the CSTC (Calcutta State Transport Corporation) Buses also start from this stand or not. . Private Buses of Route No 37 start from Howrah and proceed towards Dhakuria (A prominent South Calcutta Location). The Route of this bus is Howrah - Burrabazaar - Esplanade - Fort William - Kidderpore... more...
- Taratalla - New Alipore - Tollygunge Phari - Lake Gardens - Jadavpur PS - Dhakuria . The Mini Buses like Baishnabghata - Howrah Maidan and Garia Staton - Howrah Maidan are viewed to be faster options to Howrah Station than the 37 No. Bus!!! . Original Image Page Source . This is a photo of an AC Smart Bus (Low Floor-Single Step Door) or Jan Bus of the Ashok Leyland Model. It's the exact replica of the Non-AC Ashok Leyland Jan Buses and much quieter than the Marco Polo-Tata Jan Buses. . A CSTC Service by the Route Name AC-12D runs from Howrah Railway Station Area to Joka Diamond Park in South Calcutta. It follows the route via Burrabazaar - Esplanade - Park Street - Rabindra Sadan - Alipore Zoo - Ekbalpur - Mominpore - Taratalla - Behala - Thakurpukur - Joka Diamond... more...
Park. . PS: This bus travels jam-packed on weekday evenings and is a much better option from Howrah Station than a foul mouthed driven and hefty charging yellow cabbie. It's fleet started with the Volvo Models but now have the Ashok Leyland ones (as seen in the pic)... :-) . Original Image Page Source . Original Image Source Link
