वाराणसी - इलाहबाद मार्ग के दोहरीकरण व विद्युतीकरण के क्रम में वाराणसी से मंडुवाडीह के मध्य अब तक हुए कार्य को संलग्न रेखाचित्र में दर्शाया गया है. पहली लाइन का विद्युतीकरण हो चुका है. वाराणसी - मंडुवाडीह के मध्य दूसरी लाइन चालू हो गई है किन्तु इसका विद्युतीकरण पूरा नहीं हुआ है. मंडुवाडीह स्टेशन पर प्लेटफार्म नंबर एक का इलेट्रीफिकेशन हो चुका है पर इस लाइन पर अभी रिपेयरिंग हो रही हैं. मंडुवाडीह से आगे एक लाइन इलेट्रीफाइड है और दूसरी लाइन अभी बनी नहीं है.
