The Indian Railways has approved land acquisition for the 88.3 km long Puttur-Attipattu railway line in Andhra Pradesh, connecting Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu. While the project had earlier received central government approval, progress had been slow. This land acquisition approval is expected to accelerate the project's construction.
