For pilgrims to Mookambika temple alight here. it is better. from here you can get auto to Kundapura town. it cost 40. from there bus to Temple. i think its around 35 on bus. if you alight at Byndoor there is no bus service and you will end up in paying taxi fare which is around 300 - 400.
True , getting down at Kundapura is best than Byndoor. Even if you going by auto to temple, before the time your train reaches Byndoor ,From Kundapura you can reach temple by that time using auto.
Carry an emergency light or a torch if you are going to board MangalaLakshdweep Express at midnight, as the station doesn't has adequate lighting in case of power failure. We had a hard time locating our coaches in the pitch dark.
At Maravanthe (12 km away)you can see the Arabian Sea stretching on the West side while Saurpanika River runs on the eastern side and in between them passes the west coast road, dividing the sea and the river. Many religious places and water falls are located in the vicinity of Kundapura.Kollur Mukambika temple is close by.
