Tirupparankundram is one of the famous adobes of Lord Murugan (Karthikeya/Subramanya). It is suppossed to be the place where Lord devendra married off his daughter Devayani/Devasena to Murugan the son of Lord Shiva, as a gift for winning the demon king soorapadhman at Tiruchendur. very close to the temple from Periyar bus stand and Maatuthavani bus stand. Apart from that, buses on route 48(Only ordinary services) towards Tirumangalam halt at tiruparankundram bye-pass from where temple is just 5 mins walk.
