Great
No catering inside train. You have to get it from MAS or wait till next station for food. Not even mineral water available.

Tea/Coffee (as per passenger's choice) is served along with oatmeal cookies around 6:20 AM. Passengers have the option to have the beverage in a paper cup or porcelain cup.
4. Post tea/coffee, cornflakes is served along with hot milk and sugar at around 6:30 AM.
5. When the train nears Ambur at around 8:00 AM, breakfast is served along with a hand sanitizer sachet.

Veg breakfast contents: Kesari, Pongal and Uthappam with Sambar, Chutney and Salt sachet. Also, Britannia Choco Muffills Cake and a small tetra pack of Tender Coconut Water(in place of flavoured juices) finds a place in the breakfast. Wooden spoon is used in place of stainless steel spoon.

After completion of main course, passengers are given a big and fresh banana.
6. Tea/coffee is served after breakfast either in porcelain or paper cup (as per passenger's choice).

The catering in this Rajdhani is not good. Passengers have to regularly argue with the catering staff for dinner before the train reaches Chennai Central. They usually skip or try to skip the dinner last night because many passengers are in a hurry to deboard because they have connecting trains. You should force the waiters to provide dinner early because they will not give it by themselves.

Welcome Drink Served Just after departure -- Tea/Coffee,2 bread slices,butter(Marks - 4/5)

Pantry Staff were good and gave us extra chapati's(during lunch), tea/coffee on request. They asked for tips just after Lunch

New Delhi: The second Vande Bharat Express train from Delhi to Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra began commercial services between Delhi and Mata Vaishno Devi Katra stations from October 5. Train number 22439/22440 New Delhi-Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra-New Delhi will run on all days of the week except Tuesday.
The train is expected to carry majority Mata Vaishno Devi pilgrims which is why, for the comfort of passengers, Railways has decided on an all-vegetarian menu onboard the new train. The specially curated menu has several premium offerings both for AC Chair Car and Executive Chair Car passengers.

Executive Chair Car menu:-
Morning Tea: Premix based tea/coffee with option of green tea/lemon tea, branded digestive biscuits.
Breakfast: Cornflakes/oats with milk and sugar (standard), Stuffed parantha, cutlet, branded curd, upma, poha, kulcha chole. Items like sandwiches with cheese, cakes/muffins, seasonal fruits (banana/apple/orange), juice are also available.
Lunch and Dinner:Tomato soup or mix veg soup or sweet corn soup, Kashmiri pulao, variety of dal (Dal Makhni week 1, Dal Panchmel week 2, Dal Tadka week 3), variety of paneer (Paneer Butter Masala week 1, Shahi Paneer week 2, Kadhai Paneer week 3, Navratan Korma week 4, Khoya Matar week 5, dry vegetable-Bhindi Kurkuri or Aloo Matar Bean Gazar or Aloo Capsicum, Tehdar parantha/Lachha parantha/tawa roti, branded curd, pickle, Dessert- premium branded ice-cream like butterscotch, Kaju pista fruit & nut (March to October) and moong dal halwa (November to February) and Mewa bite.
Evening Snacks: Ready to eat meals like upma or poha or noodles, chocolate bar, dry kachori or samosa, cheese sandwiches, branded caramel popcorn, lassi or flavoured milk and premix tea/coffee with option of green tea/lemon tea.
AC Chair Car menu:-
Morning Tea: Premix based tea/coffee with the option of green tea/lemon tea, digestive biscuits.
Breakfast: Vegetarian dishes such as stuffed parantha, vegetable cutlet, branded curd, pickle, upma, poha, kulcha chole. Other breakfast items include sandwiches with cheese, cakes and tetra pack juice and tea/coffee.
