Just curious. Instead of MAO, what if major trains terminate at Karmali which is the closest station to Panjim?

But Karmali lacks facilities for maintenance and also Madgaon being a junction of Londa-Vasco SWR line,decent connections to Hubli or even Vasco is available.Also tourist destinations in Goa are spread all out,not centered on Panjim (the Capital) but dispersed in South and North Goa.Also Margao is very near to NH 17 so offers better road connectivity

If possible postpone MAO arrival by 1- 2 hrs and add Murudeshwar, Honnavara and GokarnaRd stops (which are important tourist places, and Honnavara for Jog falls).
I think this could be a bi-weekly than a daily train.

it is possible to add these stops on this journey but in return journey they can't be allowed as it's speed important for time slot.
it caters almost all parts of kerala to mao. it can take mao passr from nethravati which is primary connection between kerala and mumbai(ease rush a bit)
