This time slot from CBE is not that bad as all say. Coimbatore needed trains to Chennai in three timings - one early morning, one at around 10am and another in the night (in timings of 12682). Now one is given. I know many people who prefer early morning trains to Salem/Katpadi/chennai. Intercity has lot of demand as it could not able to meet the morning demand to Chennai alone eventhough there was Westcoast along with. So this train is quiet good one indeed. Departure time is well and good but only suggestion is to increase the speed to reach MAS within 6.5 hrs, if so then it will be more preferable. SR should give this one priority and speed up.

issue is the pricing. Executive class cost around 2000 without catering. They should include catering as done to Shatabdi.
These specials are picking up. Today's run has has good occupancy compared to inaugural run, especially in 06027. Chair car is filling well but executive class is not attracting due to this pricing and no catering.
And to all, don't blame SR for this timings and AC special. Atleast they have considered CBE for a new train to Mas, as People have been requesting for a additional train parallel to 12680 since years. Atleast they have accepted and running a new one with almost new coaches which have more chances of getting regularised.
This is my view regarding this new train from Coimbatore.
