## ACCIDENT in MAS Division

Rear collision (MAS Division) at KVP (KAVARAIPPETTAI) at around 20.30 hrs.

Train passed PON at 20.27hrs. As per LP, signals were Green/Proceed. KVP home signal was in proceed aspect, speed at 109 Km/ph. LP was controlling the train to adhere to the trailing point at 90 Km/ph. Meantime, the crew experienced a heavy jerk and the train entered the loop/line and collided with the stabbled stock (BCNE) next to the TE. One VPU caught fire and 5-6 coaches derailed.

UP/DOWN movement affected.

Sr.DEE/OP/MAS and CLI's - Meganathan, Kannabiran, Karunagaran - are proceeding to the spot.

MRV and MFD will start from MAS.

Train PON se 20.27 hours par nikla. LP ke mutaabik signals green/proceed the, KVP ka home signal bhi proceed mein tha, speed 109 km/ph thi. LP train ko trailing point par 90 km/ph rakhne ki koshish kar raha tha. Is beech mein, crew ko bahut zor ka jhatka laga, train loop/line mein chali gayi aur TE ke paas stabbled stock (BCNE) se takra gayi. Ek VPU mein aag lag gayi aur 5-6 coaches derail ho gaye.

UP/DOWN movement affected hai.

Sr.DEE/OP/MAS aur CLI's-Meganathan, Kannabiran, Karaunagaran spot par ja rahe hain.

MRV aur MFD MAS se start karenge.

Always be cautious when deboarding any train from Bihar or similar areas, even if you are not arriving but are on the station like BNC with a PF ticket, even with small luggage. This could include items brought from the train or if you are waiting for relatives or acquaintances who haven't arrived to board the train yet.

The TTE may destroy your PF tickets and say that you either pay ₹500 or face the police, or later pay as a passenger without a ticket.

This can be seen daily at stations like BNC or where Hindi speakers arrive with luggage or are waiting on the platform. They rarely deal roughly with local language speakers.

The incident happened with a young man when 12577 arrived at BNC.
