DEMU train between Karwar and Pernem has been flagged off by Hon'ble Minister of State for Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, Government of India Shri Anantkumar Hegde, on 04/09/2018 at Karwar Railway station.
The Upgraded DEMU train rake has following salient features:
This new design rake with well ventilated Eight Cars will enhance the passenger capacity with improved comfort level.
The rake with quick acceleration and quick braking is fit for fast and frequent services.
The coaches of this rake have been fitted with Bio-Toilets.
1600 HP DEMU Rake with state of the art AC-AC traction Electro-Pneumatic brake and Micro-processor Controlled Propulsion system.
