TheRailWizard~ 1241 blog postsAre the general compartments in this train generally crowded? I'm planning to travel by this train between Gokarna Road & Madgaon with my friends with a considerable amount of luggage. Is it a good idea to travel in this train?
Depends on the day of travel. If it's a long weekend or festival days then yes. Else seats will be available.
It has 16 coaches and most travellers from Mangalore Udupi will get down at Ankola and Karwar. So wouldn't be difficult.
Should be manageable since it's a 2 hour journey. December last week is the peak Goa tourism season though.
