Traveling VB from GGN to Umb today !
Amazed to see more than 250-350 people waiting at GGN for onward journey .
Bijwasan railway construction in full swing , train was slowed down here .
Complete chaos at Delhi Cantt railway station due to lack of information system and too much boarding and boarding happening at the same time .

800 seats or 80% occupancy is really good so extention is working even on weekdays that too midday.
CDG is filling two VBs Simultaneously now !! haha

I am talking about sectional occupancy. Even after an year of operation till last week the train is a loss making VB with barely 20-30% occupancy in Jaipur Ajmer though the IR claim 100%+ occupancy due to Jaipur. The sectional occupancies after extention are
Ajmer Jaipur 20-30% Jaipur Delhi 100% Delhi to CDG 80% on avg. Coming to income per seat the base fare from Ajmer to CDG is Rs 1200, Jaipur to Delhi Rs 600 and Delhi to CDG Rs 600. So when the train runs with 100% sectional occupancy ftom Jaipur to CDG it will earn the full revenue potential and additional due to 20% travellers from Ajmer. Huge round of applause for 12012 it depart 10 minute before vb from cdg has 4 commercial stop on route while vb has just one still aftee all that vb se himmat nhi hoi overtake kare

I traveled today … train is getting a very good patronage from GGN and DEC and there is utter chaos due to too many boarding and de boarding happening at the same time at GGN and DEC due to lack of facilities!

Sadly current infrastructure at Gurgaon station is not adequate to host this huge rush or patronage of this train .. Women working in IT sector , mothers traveling with kids and other working population of the city have quickly adopted this train.
There was huge rush of about 300 people who deboarded this train at GGN and people in equal numbers must have boarded the train .

Spending 250 cr on the current station won't worth it.. as it is located in the most congested part of the city ... a new station should be built
upon , arrival VB .. the boarding / deboarding scenario became similiar to what i have in Mumbai locals during non peak hours... huge rush .. no space to walk ! lot of chaos
It would be much better to build a metro line underground from dwarka sector 21 towards Gurgaon railway station and then under the station road to rajiv chowk and onwards. GGN redevelopment isn't feasible. Rather connection to Bijwasan would be much better.
Metro line is under construction and is planned to pass through a junction which is 500 m away from the station . So there will always be a problem of last mile connectivity here …
Local buses do ply to the station but they are highly unreliable due to current traffic situation of the city

the area is too densely populated to construct new roads. Both New Railway Road and Old Railway road (with sadar bazar traffic) get merged along with the road coming from Sheetla Mata Mandir Road and in the end there is only one Road to the railway station for the entire Millenium city.
Will have to construcct flyovers which will take 10 years. Bijwasan which is almost 10 kms farther takes same time as reaching Gurgaon railway staion as all the connecting roads are with heavy traffic
