IR has lost it completely. Tomorrow they'll stop it at Modi Nagar, Murad Nagar, Khatauli, and endless other stations. Imagine the joke is that Ghaziabad is not on the halt list but Deoband which hardly will have any passengers is on the halting list of a "Vande Bharat" train. Does IR want to make it an intercity train or really a Vande Bharat? Anyways it's slower than road travel either between Doon and Delhi or Haridwar to Delhi.

A direct line between DDN and SRE was proposed in 90s when Nitish Kumar was RM. It was rejected in feasibility study stating Shivalik mountain isn't fit for drilling and digging. This line will just remain on papers!

Technology has evolved ! Things have changed . They are drilling tunnels for expressway in the same region. They are working on Char Dham Pariyojana by drilling more than 200 kms of tunnels in the same region.
It’s the will of the politicians and bureaucrats which turns a project in to reality !!!

Let's see if IR is really keen to develop direct line between DDN & SRE. It would save huge time but like VB getting stoppage at every possible station IR can be expected to do anything!

they should ideally remove MZN .. .according to the reports only 6 passengers board the train from here.. and then give a chance to Deoband !
