no sir both train run via barh mokama kiul jasidih madhupur asansol burnpur adra purulia barabhum chandil kandra gamharia adityapur I have travelled around 20 times in both train.omly route of tata chapra is a bit different tata chapra does not enter adra and it bypasses between jouchandipahar and anara
The reason behind this as hears from fellow passenger is that this train has very high priority between patna asansol route because most of the people travel for their office for their job and electic supply between these sectionis always disturbed hence to avoid delay it is still hauled by this diesel loco of Kharagpur shed or bondamunda shed

disel loco consumes more fuel(cost wise) than electrified loco because the diesel loco works on electricity only generated by diesel,
now a days multiple locos coming ehich runs on diesel as well electricity.only lifting pantha required to convert diesel to electricity

can someone explain to me abt loco reversal and the type of engine used? dont both require reversal?
mileage of diesel locomotives has been measured on the basis of gallon ie. miles per gallon[mpg].1 mile per gallon = 0.425143707 kilometers per liter.
mileage to most extent is also depends on the load carrying by locomotive. less load will definiely gives you more mileage and viceversa.
