Great to see the on time running of this train and last couple of days reaching Howrah ahead of its arrival time. I am sure there is a team that will be monitoring the punctuality and RB is also looking at the same.
If the punctuality can be maintained for this train, why cant the same SER do it for other trains as well !!! ??

Too slow TT for VB STANDARDs even with majority of route is 130.
Maintaining punctuality of passenger trains means delaying goods trains which is a loss for railways. So railways deliberately delays passenger trains and gives pass to goods trains. Its railways policy. Show speed in time table and add superfast surcharge to its tickets and extract money from passengers. Then delay that train by giving pass to goods trains and then extract money by timely running of good trains. Get double profit. Simple.
While this train travels from Howrah to Ranchi, the food charges are different for booking ticket for different pair of stations. But when it travel from Ranchi to Howrah, the food charges are same for booking ticket for every pair of stations, i.e. ₹ 142. How is it so? Will passengers travelling from Ranchi to Muri and Kharagpur to Howrah get the same food?

Will the catering staff identify passengers climbing between every two stations and serve a round of tea and breakfast between every two stations to those particular passengers? Otherwise how will every Ranchi - Muri passenger get tea and breakfast and every Kharagpur - Howrah passenger also get tea and breakfast? Same for all other pair of stations.
Yes they have the list of pass of boarding each stn with catering opted. They will provide after boarding.
Thanks for the information. I have go to Dangoaposi from Ranchi on 21/10/2023. Earlier due non suitability of timing of connecting trains to Tatanagar from Ranchi, we were forced to go to Tatanagar or Chaibasa by bus and then board the trains from there to Dangoaposi. But now, since the train 20898 Ranchi - Howrah Vande Bharat Express reaches Tatanagar at 8:40 am which is suitable to catch the train 12021 Howrah - Barbil Janshatabdi Express leaving from Tatanagar at 9:53 am, I am planning to go to Tatanagar from Ranchi by 20898 Ranchi - Howrah Vande Bharat Express and then from Tatanagar to Dangoaposi by 12021 Howrah - Barbil Janshatabdi Express. Both these trains can also be used in reverse to come to Ranchi from Danguaposi as there is gap of 2 hours 28 minutes at Tatanagar between both trains. Ranchi needs overnight sleeper VB starting from Ranchi at night and reaching Howrah early in the morning. At the same time Howrah departure at night and Ranchi arrival early in the morning by using two rakes of VB. People of Ranchi avoid two things - Travelling in day time and travelling by expensive mode. Therefore, Hatia - Howrah Kriyayoga Express gets WL while the Ranchi - Howrah Shatabdi Express runs with some seats remaining vacant.
Lot of things matter in the route, whether alternate faster options are available or not, spending power of passengers and so on. and also if there is a significant difference in travel time. From what people have been mentioning, in the RNC HWH route day option might not be preferred for end to end passengers. Similarly from Jamshedpur lot of people travel to Ranchi for flights. Buses reach in 2 hrs so people may not prefer trains as it is longer

Via prr 215 km vb intercity route. There by xtra km xtra RT xtra money.
After constructing Chandil - Namkum (alternate proposal was Kandra Namkum) short cut, via Tata will be much better than via Bokaro S C and then Ranchi (RNC) - TATA passengers will be available but presenlty even not via Puruliya (PRR) or via Suisa is long route between Chandil - Namkom then (after completion of that short cut) via Purulia will be a bad route for Ranchi passengers. VIa Aansol, Purulia is also not possible as Ranchi Shatabdi, Patna Howrah Vande Bharat will cut the share of Durgapur, Asansol passengers. via Tarakeswar - Bishnupur (Construction of most of the parts have been completed), Bankura, Puruliya may be a route but it may be with low Max P. Speed (it will be not good if it is too slow). Otherwise TATA route should be reserved for Ranchi Vande Bharat and not for Rourkela Vande Bharat which may be thinking of some...

Two sides of SER, one side, give enough slack so that train reaches well before in hand and make it depart late, behind its schedule
So they can staright away decrease the timing by 45 mins. Ranchi 545 Tatanagar 845/50 KGP 1010/15 HWH 1200 10 slack so that cannot get delayed by locals and other SF in the section. Return can leave at 1615 to arrive at 2230.
When a train reaches a station, it is immediately updated in this private train app but when a train leaves from any station, it is updated few minutes later. So the arrival time is correctly showing in this app but not the departure time. So rest assured that the train departed from all the stations at right time, not as late as it is showing in this app.
Fully agreed...only after train crossed complete points and left station premises it gets updated as...
