Even 2 and 3 are sort of 'eye-wash' actions and not inline with the original demands. Before the YPR-HAS line was opened, the promises made were that 'new' trains would be introduced on the shorter route. All that they have done now is to divert the existing trains on the route and project it as a 'new' service.
Kept Kudla's TT similar to Karwar Tri-weekly and made it look like daily. It wasn't.... Also Kudla was supposed to be daily.

And despite the reduction of 80km and avoiding a reversal, these trains are only sped up by 1 hour. So the net result is that SBC still has trains taking more or less the same time as they were taking earlier, with no increase in frequency, while the stations on the SBC-MYS-HAS and SBC-ASK-HAS routes lose their connectivity to both SBC and MAQ.
And here we have politicians celebrating and thanking the government on the 'invaluable' development. One has to wonder, its becoming easier to fool people, with everyone from the top brass officials to local street politicians stuck in such an easy-going system.

Why it is being delayed for making the official announcement for the extension of the train till Gadag..?
Even 11031/11032 Solapur - Bijapur Bi-Weekly Express will also have to be cancelled.

Just water filling and sweeping. I guess so.
Many ICEs have very less TAT in which water filling, toilet cleaning and sweeping is done. This long distance one too - pretty much the same sort of cleaning like ICE, I guess.

I understand, but when the train reaches its end destination (whether maintenance happens there or not) it must rests there for good 4-5 hours to let the stinkyness of the used coach go away..
No matter what, an empty coach without passengers, No AC will breathe much better than to reuse the coach again just after it completes its journey.

This scenario is with many trains in CR. One of other example is Siddeshwar sf exp RSA with Udyan exp. As soon as Siddeshwar reaches CSTM. It returns as Udyan in next few hours on same route till SBC. This train has PM at Solapur and secondary at Bengaluru. No as such maintenance in Mumbai

There have been reports in Solapur newspapers recently about this train getting extension to Gadag, which will be notified soon. I personally feel that this is a good move, by not keeping train idle & most importantly benefiting many people around Solapur.
There is a genuine worry for Solapur that they might not be able to get berth/ seat easily. I agree. I have travelled in this train about 4 times from Solapur to Mumbai, and have seen occupancy to the extent of 50-80% from Solapur itself, which gets filled more at Kurduwadi, but of course, depending upon season.

Indeed, a good one. The timings can be +/- here & there, but overall correct. The main thing is add coaches & extend it to benefit one & all. Its a win win thing for Solapur & around. Actually, the extension is soon to happen, but IR should augment the coaches before.
Yup for this service IR cancelling SUR UBL SUR ICE and Extended train run on this ICE slot regarding Its service to solapur it will be good one as present one have less coaches if Coaches added to 20 to 22 and extended means good one for SUR BJP BGK GDG BAY ppl also. Berths can be booked online so solapur not going to loose anything in this I think
Can I see the news paper clip so that I can read what they published and what is the date of publishing because this news I am hearing from past 8 months when A meeting at SWR in April they decided this Extension
Yes adding coaches is more important while extending, small train will not make sense to extend. Once extended, rakes of Ubl Ice can be used for Kop/Pune Ice
