Can someone please help me to understand the logic to define train 15657/58 Brahamputra Express as a mail / express train, and not SF train?

so, you mean to say - Shramjeevi is wrongly made SF train?
If avg speed is the reason for SF category classification, then 12391/92 shall get downgraded to Mail / Express category train, isn't it?

Actually the SF criteria is 55KMPH in both directions but so many train slow down now and average speed less tha 55KMPH but IR imposed SF to passenger...
15657/15658 has a slow timetable between Patna-New Jalpaiguri as it runs via Bhagalpur. 2033 kms can be easily covered in 36.5 hours @ 55 kph making it a superfast.
That is an exception just like in Chemistry, by the way I also don't know the scenario, Magadh Express has the same case
