Yes, it is great to have full of sand, but no water. Surprisingly the sand is there on the top layer itself, but in other rivers the sand available only at the WELL.
Palar river is dry to such extent. It is mainly rainfed. Going back to history, I believe once a passenger train fell into this river and the Railway Minister of that time had resigned.
