Sometimes upgradation does snatch away lots of memories from daily passengers. You see so many passengers may confuse this train with GC locals. Ultimately, they will get accustomed but still chitchats regarding the old ICF rake will go on for years. This was the first ever passenger service from HTE along with HTE-KGP Passenger which is still in ICF dress.
ER should focus more on enhancing MEMU rakes and add features like auto-loco call, in-train announcement, replacement of pantographs etc. I know by the time I am typing, ER is already thinking on ways getting them implemented under budget constraints. Hopefully, it's avg. speed will officially touch 35-40 kmph given the quick acceleration of MEMU.
