Dakshin Express from Secunderabad to the national capital Delhi has averted a major accident. The incident took place at Pagidipalli near Bhuvanagiri at around 1 am on Saturday. The crew noticed the fire in the luggage bogie at the end of the train and informed the loco pilot. He immediately stopped the train and alerted the passengers.
Panicked by this incident, the passengers got down and ran when the train stopped. As soon as the information about the incident was received, a special train from Secunderabad reached the spot. Fire extinguishers were brought from nearby areas and the fire was extinguished. In this incident, it was found that there was minor property damage in the luggage bogie. Passengers expressed concern that if the train had not stopped at the time of the fire, there would have been a major accident. All in all, everyone breathed a sigh of relief as no one was in any danger.
