we planning to visit Darjeeling in the first week of October,2011. We want to book tickets on toy train from Newjalpaiguri to Darjeeling, so please guide us how to book the tickets. As we are coming from Hyderabad to Newjalpaiguri by train, so early reply may required please.

No Express Train/Mail train from New jalpaiguri (NJP) to darjeeling.
U have to travel by toy train.
But road transpost is good.
U will get SUmo & Other small cars at NJP...

I wish to go from new jalpaiguri to darjeeling on 19th june 2011 by toy train.

We (8 persons) wish to travel by toy train on 18/05/11 during our visit darjeeling.
But while trying to book on irctc internet reservation for train No: 52541 from NJP to Darjeeling, it is showing that no matching trains found.
Is the train running from Jew jalpaiguri or not. Request to clarify at the earliest.

The train is running from Kurseong to Darjeeling. The track from New Jalpaiguri to Kurseong was damaged during the monsoons and is being rebuilt
