Tapovan, dharmabad are a handful of dedicated trains that marathwada region got from SCR which mostly ignores it .....they have excellent patronage and you cannot step in this train beyond Nanded and Aurangabad. ...similarly karimnagar can have its own dedicated train to whatever destination it wants if it deserves. .PLEASE STOP THESE POLLS FOR EXTENSIONS OF ALREADY SUCCESSFULL RUNNING TRAINS.
Can this be extended from Dharmabad to Nizamabad? Only 40 kms extra and can serve as connectivity from Telangana to Manmad / Shirdi.
How does this train shares the rake with 17617/18 Tapovan Express as the source & destination of both the trains remain uncommon?

It is due to a problem at MMR end for Marathwada. No RSA could be arranged at the MMR end for the train to receive maintenance at some station in CR. So SCR does the maintenance and has no option but to shunt the rake to NED everyday from Dharmabad.
And due to the train's timings, it will not be possible to give it primary maintenance unless some RSA is established. Hence the RSA with Tapovan.

Or they could have terminated at NED, but then those few stations would have lost this train.

Long back it was running till Mudkhed, then after gauge conversion it was extended till Dharmabad.
same as 19063 and 1291 RSA erlier 12911 RSA with 19057.... Empty Rake transfer between BL and UDN
With the present RSA with Tapovan, the shunting between Dharmabad-NED cannot be avoided even if Tapovan's PM is taken up my CSTM. Unless Tapovan is extended to Dharmabad or 17687 is extended to CSTM, the empty rake movement will continue.
