Today we lost an exemplary leader and one of stalwarts of Indian politics Mr Manohar Parrikar. Mr Parrikar was an 'aam aadmi' in the truest sense, he lived like a common-man, travelled in economic class, used his own old car, and rejected all comforts that came with his position.
He lived by an example and worked till his untimely demise!

Presenting a few pictures of my latest trip to the 'Spiritual Capital of India', Kashi! I took the 13307 super-crawler DHN- FZR Ganga Sutlej Express from DHN to BSB. The AC compartments were well maintained but the sleeper compartments cried for maintainance, the lesser said about the general coaches the better!

Picture 5-6-7 :- These 3 pictures are very dear to me. This two and several WAM-4 locos were a common sight between GAYA-DHN & RNC-DHN lines when the DC line was active. ( When I took this picture the DC Line hadn't restarted yet.). However even in their deaths this Grandpas are serving Indian Railways as their body shells have been used by the DLW to remake a newer class of locomotives WAG3Cs
