Maybe this is temporary and they are working to connect the up line directly with pf3 side.

Malipur railway station between AYodhya and Jaunpur.
As part of Barabanki - Jaunpur doubling project, the station is going through overhaul.
Total of 3 platforms are under construction out of which 1 is barely functional to recieved 7 pairs of trains that halt here.
