Uday is a fully air-conditioned train, so it won't be very crowded from GDV, BVRM, and TNK. The train has 7 coaches with a capacity of 800 people. Even after the introduction of VB in February and May, there were usually 600 to 800 bookings from Vijayawada in the evening. From Vskp, there were around 600 bookings, of which 200 came from Duvvada, Tuni, and Samalkot. Everyday, Eluru and Tadepalligudem contribute 100 seats, and 200 people get off at RJY to DVD.

The best way to make the most of the train is to divide the coaches into 4-4 and give them to Vskp and GNT. Run an intercity with 3 air-conditioned coaches, 5 reserved general seats, 6 unreserved general seats, and 2 EIG/SLR. The first one goes from Vskp to Vja with the current Uday timings. The second one goes from GNT to Vja with 700 seats and then continues to Vskp at 1330. The return journey starts from Vskp at 1445 and reaches GNT at 2215. This route passes through BVRM.
