General coaches are Deen Dayalu coaches.

The 4 Deen Dayalu coaches that were part of the inaugural rake of SMET tri-weekly has now been allotted to RC Express. Here are a few pics.

the first time. Maybe they are present in all coaches and I might have not observed.
But this is a good little improvement. Usually in IR many stations lack PFs or the PFs are short in length. Hence almost always its the UR coaches which extend out of the PF. People especially - senior citizens, physically challenged, women and children struggle to get a grip/hold and climb the stairs of UR coaches from the ground. This little hold will surely help a lot. (Anyway that's what I assuming it to be for).
