Arunachala~ 447 blog postsI think, this train is also meant for Rameswaram and will go up to the same when pamban bridge is completed. TT of 16733(RMM-OKHA via KRR, SA,KPD) & this 09519 (MDU-OKHA via ,TPJ,VM,TNM,KPD) shares almost the same slot from KPD.
This decision might be taken to avoid SM complications and other PF issues at RMD/MNM. SM travel(RMD/MNM-MDU) also not needed as the train is terminating at MDU itself. If this is true, Overall, a good planning from SR ensuring western region connectivity to majority of TN as existing 16733...

but if extended till Rameswaram, will it be able to do SM at RMM ?

Can we expect any of these TOD trains in upcoming IRTTC? ( KCG-MDU, KCG-NCJ & OKHA-MDU TOD )
Cutting down one of the slacks, preferably between TPJ-MDU may possibly enable the option to extend up to Tirunelveli for SM. Less turn around time might be a barrier to get extended beyond Tirunelveli, since it requires enough time for SM.
Moreover, South TN regions like Tirunelveli, Tuticorin, Nagercoil, Kanniyakumari don't have direct train to interior western regions like OKHA. So, this needs to be addressed.

EKNR also doesnot serve saurastra region. Organising saurastra tamil sangamam but chennai deprieved of saurastra region direct train is not fair. Chennai and Coimbatore needs saurastra weekly connections.
Firstly EKNR is not in saurashtra region at all. coimbatore atleast has a weekly train to saurashtra (CBE RJT), whereas chennai doesn't have any. Agree that the frequency can be increased for the former but the latter is very much required.
Agreed WR or SR should think About Bhuj Chennai/ Porbandar Chennai/ Bhavnagar Chennai or any other train which connects Chennai with Saurashtra (Kathiawar) & Kutch region

This train is consistently having good patronage and may get promoted to be a regular service.
This train should be regularised . A pantry car can be added .
Yes this train should be regularize and should extend upto Kanyakumari for better connectivity.
Problem is, if any south bound train is introduced from Ahmedabad, Jalor will try it's best to get it extended.
Travelling to home, let's join
