Once again I chanced upon travelling in an LHB sleeper coach. Train is none other than 12292 MAS-YPR Weekly SF. It was hauled by my white stallion 30354. The crew was from SBC divn. Also, SBC divn. has removed the new style of 3D stenciling of zone markings on the coach. The 3D "SW" marks were converted to usual "SWR" markings in blue colour. The train had an EOG from NR. It was shunted by a WAG9 which had no shed or number markings on the side of its body.

Pics 8 to 18: I heard a P4 honk. But it was not a P4. It was 30427, link of HWH Mail. The coupling process takes place.

Inspite of being a Shatabdi
This is slower than 12623 MAS TVC mail by 13mts
MAS TVC super AC by 28mts
22639 MAS ALLP SF takes 7hrs and 8 minutes to CBE which is just 3 mts more

MAS TVC SF takes 7hrs and 9 minutes to Podanur which is just 4 mts more
They can justify saying it is due to slack as Shatabdi terminates at CBE. Still this only shows this Shatabdi is marginally faster than Super fast trains in this section, yet commands a premium fare.
The speed difference between SF and Shatabdi is higher much higher in Delhi Kanpur, Mumbai Ahmedabad, Delhi Amritsar, Chandigarh sections.
But in SR there is hardly any speed difference

/search/664/707 301 KM, marginal difference with Poorva Exp
/search/664/452 440 Kms, Except 0 Stops Train, many SF at par with Shatabdi & countless within 1 hour frame.
/search/664/336 Non 130 KMPH route, 12558/12392 are at Par Rajdhani
130 KMPH (till CNB), 12566/12876/12226 are 1 hour slow than LKO Shatabdi

PS: Shatabdi do have Priority on Local @ Mumbai
/search/60/12293 More train in 1-1:10 Hr Range
This section is @ 130 KMPH & Shatabdi manage 79/75 KMPH while CBE Shatabdi manage 70 KMPH

Thats why i prefer TVC mail to CBE . Eventhough the quota is less , still faster than shatabdi .

Need to speed up to reach CBE in 6.5 hrs. Also MAS - TVC takes only 6 be 35 min to cover the distance, so shatabdi also needed to be speeded up. So more people will choose 12243.
