Thats what i said. ECoR if tries to run ,then train can run. SR and SWR are not running any train for catering Mangalore and north malabar coast (region above SRR) to eastern india. ECoR if tries by RB permission then Zone hardly will matter.
If SWR says that it can't run trains on the Shiradi ghat route due to operational constraints ( as it has been doing all this time), then RB also cannot force them to run a train on this route. RB can only tell SWR to run the train after considering the feasibility. the Even a Karnataka state High court order to start a SBC-MAQ train hasn't been implemented till now!!
I hope this is just for experimentation basis. Their is absolutely no demand as of now gauging from the ticket availability. I wish this service is not yet known by the public. To clear Monday morning rush it would have served purpose if the train departed Baripada on Sunday night instead of Saturday night. I hope East Coast Railways dont run trains just for the sake of running.
Return journey planning is pathetic. Who would want to alight at Baripada in the middle of the night. What is East Coast Railway trying to here. Test track from Rupsa - Baripada functioning at night? No trains run during the night in this track route. May be they want to see that employees dont sleep during night duty. Better run an empty engine. Why disturb NH-5 at night by closing the highway unnecessarily just to pass an empty train.
A special which came out from nowhere. Surprised all of a sudden how come Bhanjpur/Mayurbhanj/Baripada people asked for a overnight train from Puri ? Seems like ECoR is trying some "Hit & Trial" game. Doing an experiment for seeing the response.
