Infact the other train could run via shorter route which is RU, Gooty, Kurnool, Mahbubnagar to Kacheguda.

Chennai-Hyderabad would be a better alternative.
This one with afternoon arrival/departure at Tirupati is more suited to the pilgrims.

it is useful to give stoppage for this train at bapatla because it is a district hedquarter. giving a halt at dist hq is better for connecting district hq to a main city
