bhadrachalam to kovvur railway line proposed in 1966-67 budget when BZA division was in SR zone. post this BZA division merged in SCR ..after SCR focus on developing route to manuguru. almost two decades ignored the project . Intension of behind the construction of the route(bhadrachalam to kovvur railway line) was goods movement connecting to Kakinada port. earlier alignment was good because there is proposal manuguru to ramagundam..so kovvur to ramagundam like a straight-line connectivity.. Anyway now this project under SC division instead of BZA division and looks altered the alignment according to SC division needs since...
