12987/12988 SDAH-AII-SDAH used to run as 2986/2986 SDAH-JP-SDAH Express, which was the predecessor of 12987/88. 2985/86 was extended to AII in 2009/10 as 2987/88. Untill 2006/07, this train used to run via AF-BXN-SWM-JP route & was later diverted permanently to run via AF-BTE-JP route in 2008/09.
