Today went to CBE jn to have glimpse of the much anticipated Utkrisht rake, I had very high expectations. But sadly, the rake was just painted, seats were not chnaged in AC Coaches as well as Sleeper coaches. Just some vinyl wrappings near restrroms , AND some sleeper coaches had Metallic look near restrooms, just to ease cleaning process. the braille signs for seat number identification, LED lights and seat number indicators were all looking normal, The curtains and seats in 2AC were not changed and it was like that of normal 2AC Coach. 3AC also had same fate.3ac seats...

Beginning December 23, the Kongu Express that runs from Coimbatore to Hazarat Nizamuddin will be operated with refurbished Utkrisht coaches to provide greater comfort to passengers. The Indian Railways launched Utkrisht in April 2018 to refurbish 640 conventional coaches at ₹400 crore to improve their condition. Of the targeted coaches, 10 rakes of six trains are with the Southern Railway. The exteriors of the coaches are painted apricot yellow and blood red. The interiors refurbishing includes provision of LED lights, BLDC energy efficient fans, new curtains that match the colour of the rexin cover of the berth. The coaches have bio-toilets...
