Glimpses of ongoing platform extension work at ALJN. The station that currently has just 4 platforms is witnessing construction of at least five more, with the ninth one having enough space beside it for a cab-way on the city side, if they want. .Addition of at least two more is urgently needed. Right now 64103 and 64105 are placed one behind the other on the same platform (PF#04) every morning because thats the only platform available. Later when 64103 departs, 64105 is shunted ahead. This also blocks the loop of the UP line for 1 hour.
