As per this article of Hindustan Times, 2501/2502 Guwahati - New Delhi Purvottar Sampark Kranti express used to run via Malda Town - Jamalpur - Mughalsarai route when it was introduced. Then it was made triweekly & diverted via Katihar - Barauni -Mughalsarai route W.E.F 01/07/2006. Very pathetic decision it was😞Now we want this train back to it's own route✊click here
