I boarded Visakhapatnam Bhubaneswar Vande Bharat with Platform ticket. Went to drop by brother travelling to Vijayanagaram. Distance 60km Fare Rs 435 ( catering charge Rs 35) way expensive. When you give halts every 60km and want people to board the train the min fare km and fares should also be kept low. I think min fare km in ACC is 125km. They should change fare structure of ACC class from 50km upto 200km to be competitive with road sector for Normal trains and VB. AC buses charge Rs 2-3 perkm depending on route and bus type. Today occupancy at 1500 is 180 seats. Coach C7, C6 and C2 are literally empty without lighting inside the coach with RPF, TTE and coach attendant sitting and writing their notes. Today went to pickup my mother coming by Swarna Jayanti express. When she saw train the was asking me which train is it as SJ is also LHB with red color looking similar. My mother was stuned to see empty coaches without passengers and asking where is it going and when was it introduced.
