The Railways had previously issued a notice about the change in train numbers, but it has now been retracted. The trains will continue to operate with their old numbers until further notice. The change in train numbers was intended to make it easier for passengers to identify trains, as well as to update the numbering system for better organization. The decision to revert back to the old numbering system was made after feedback from passengers and stakeholders.

The previous evening, another fire had erupted in the same area, causing delays to four trains (04505, 52460, 04564, and 52452) traveling from Shimla to Kalka. These trains were held at Koti station for approximately half an hour. The Station Superintendent of Gumman Railway Station, Sanjeev Sharma, confirmed the incidents, stating that two trains were delayed due to the fire on Saturday morning.
