Regarding Tatkal Bookings , This train has a separate quota for SBC and stations between MYS-SBC. The SBC quota gets exhausted first compared to MYS quota so if you want to book TQ tickets from SBC in this train try booking from KGI.
If you are booking this train from Bangalore, please board it at city station itself- this train generally reaches Bangalore city late so need to stay awake for long if you boarding from any suburb of Bangalore- generally departs from Bangalore city only past midnight as its arrival is also generally delayed
After AJJ this is a office goers train- so if yoiu get up beyond aJJ dont be surprised to find someone else occupying your berth

Not anymore. After Train timing had advanced to reach MAS at 0700, this is punctual enough. (IMO, I've experienced 16022 running late 1 or 0130 hrs. 5-15min deviation isn't a big deal for train having lot of stops after KPD!)
Never travel in Train Number 16022 - Kaveri Express in S14 Coach. I don't know whether it is a Reserved Coach or General Coach. People who travel with no ticket, waiting list tickets also travel in this train especially this S14 coach. No TTE or RPF person ever dares to come into this coach and see how many ticketless people travel in this coach. Don't know why. I request atleast a TTE or RPF personnel come and check this train or coach. Almost all reserved coaches look like General compartments. People sleep in between the two lower berths and also in pathways. Hope there should be some strict RPF Personnel be deployed in this type of trains. If not this train remains the same forever.
hahaha. Sir, that's the state of most of the overnighters running on IR. Barring a few in WR, TTEs or RPF don't bother to look at these trains. RPF will inspect the train only at the starting point and after that its everybody's train.
Yes you may be correct Kedar. But what I mean is are our TTE's and RPF Personnel doing their job as per rule book. If they do, I would not have to post a comment in this public platform. By the way much thanks Kedar, atleast you have responded to my post.
Though it reached the destination station on time, it isn't punctual at the boarding station. When traveling its hard to get sleep because of
1. Sound (Cranking sound)
2. Shaky (You would literally shake continuously until the train catches speed i.e, 40 km) (which it hardly does)
