Food idea for those who travel in this train from Hyderabad/Secunderabad to howrah.
1st day:
For lunch- Parcel good cheap food from Hyderabad/Secunderabad before boarding the train. Snacks and cold drinks are available throughout the route.
For evening snacks- Alight at BZA and buy some bananas or snacks from station. Train halts here for long time as it arrives sometimes before time.
For...
more... dinner, the orders are taken between BZA-EE by a guy wearing irctc catering t-shirt and food is loaded from RJY. It contains three options-Biryani, roti-sabji and idli-sambhar. All of three are cold.
Instead purchase the same food from platform which will bit cheaper and hot. The train halts at RJY for about nearly 7-10 min which is enough to purchase food from pf.
2nd day:
For Breakfast- Buy food from KUR and fill your tummy or else wait. Here after KUR, a person with meals-on-wheel t-shirt comes and asks for breakfast order. Option are-Idli sambhar and bread cutlet. Only Veg available. Food is given either after BBS or after CTC. Food is good and in ample quantity.
For lunch- After BLS a person comes and asks for lunch order. Food is loaded at KGP. If not interested in heavy lunch, then at KGP quickly deboard and buy hot poori-bhaji. But be careful. Train hardly halts for 2-3 min (personal experience).
Through out the journey local vendors board and sell food items.
Like between KUR-HWH, "jhaalmoori" and "garam bhoobni" and many other things are sold which are yes, unhygienic and tasty.
PS: I am telling this all for 2A and 3A class. For SL, i have no idea.
