Its a pseudo-Rajdhani in the catering perspective as well, besides being so in terms of speed.
The attendant will ask for your preferences Veg/Non-veg N.India/S.Indian on Day 1 at the time of boarding.
Thereafter he'd serve you all meals at the respective timings. Dinner-Bfast-Lunch-EveningTea-Soup-Dinner-Breakfas t.
At the end of Day 2, he'd bill all of it and present it to you....

My experience also in 12650 was superb the food both choice as well as quality are amazing.
Sorry, I commented for train 12650. Below comments can be referred for that train, not 12649.
SBC Rajdhani is the first choice of many, due to the better timing.

Datz really Great..same should start with other superfast exp trains as well...
But paneer as per pic, not so good. Rest comparison is very useful.

PS: Strangely this does not apply to non-AC coaches.
This is to prevent short circuit and save people from burning to death while sleeping. I would say good move from SWR.
I traveled in this train last week nd Now all charging points work even after 22:00 (ac class)

Don't worry book e- tatkal ticket a day before of Advance reservation period of KCG from KRNT and change the boarding point to KCG and don't worry about the waiting list while booking. You can afford to book W/L upto 50 and will easily confirm. Eg:- Entry# 1071871

Abhi~ 8548 blog poststatkal quota from kcg to ngp - jhs - nzm is very less 6 in sl and 2 in 3ac , but as the tatkal opens the the seat beings to increase and so be patient and try tatkal ticket and u will definately be able to book one..dont panick by seeing such low number of seats from KCG .
