The coach order seems to have been reversed in this train recently. The AC coaches are now just behind the engine i.e. at the far end when boarding at Chennai Central. Passengers travelling by AC coaches need to walk a long distance at Chennai Central and all stations beyond Dindigul Jn (as the rake is reversed there).

It is not clear if this is a temporary or permanent change.

If you want to travel till pollachi from chennai (or any stn before dindigul) in this train take the general ticket from dindigul for the post palani travel. Otherwise you will not get the time at any of the station for purchasing pollachi ticket. And in pollachi expecially officials are checking for the ticket less travel.

sharply this train reach chennai central between 20.00-20.10....anybody arrived between these times the seats may be available in unreserved coaches also..

new coaches many unreserved coaches so if u dont get a seat in sl u can get a URS ticket and there is more chance of getting a place to sleep in URS coach as if in sleeper coach
