Train takes the Howrah Barddhaman Main line route due to congestion in the Chord by Mumbai Mail and Darjeeling Mail, which it follows closely upto Malda Town with Padatik Express just behind. After New Bongaigaon Karmabhoomi Express takes the route via Goalpara Town - Dudhnoi and not Rangiya as mentioned in the time table..

Please be extremely careful of your luggage when you are nearing MLDT, rampant chain pulling, train stops frequently in complete darkness, lots of people enter SL coaches to help these chain - pullers get their luggage out.

I have travelled on this train in Feb 2015, in SL class. Right from LTT, the water supply in SL coaches was erratic, in my coach. I checked and found that there is a leak, so water is escaping. But there was water in other coaches. But by the next day, water had disappeared in all SL coaches. The toilets were stinking, basins were completely choked, so much so that I had a fight with cleaning staff at Rouirkela the next noon. They simply refused to clear up blockages and supply water, and we had to continue to HWH in this condition. After HWH, things gets worse. There is abolutely no food available in the train after HWH, so please stock up at HWH. I got dates and bread. The TT told me that there will be no food nor water till NJP the next day. I checked the bathrooms...

at MLDT early morning, all the bathrooms were choked, overflowing, and no water. Finally, I had to go to a bathroom in the AC coaches. Complaining to the TTs does not help, I did so at Rourkela station, after which I got into a fight with the cleaners at Rourkela
