I have been to KGP but never understood why it doesn't have services/pitlines for maintenance of LHB rakes. Lines criss cross that places like crazy and I was surprised to find that even Nimpura Yard, despite being so huge, doesn't have the requisite requirements.
Train departed today with only 1 seat Available ( I saw 30 mins before departure from KGP).
Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Bhadrak, Kharagpur were the major contributor stations to fill this spl train. Baleshwar, Brahmapur also contributed.

There is another KGP-SMBV Spl which ran yesterday for 1 trip also got very good occupancy from kharagpur.

This train is a super duper hit train now. Should be regularized at the earliest.
Current trends should not be used to justify a train's patronage. We should once check after season
The present Prashanti daily express has WL all through the year to Bengaluru and is fully filled up in 440km section from BBS to VskP. So this itself is the basis for demand of another new train from KGP to Bengaluru to get filled from KGP upto VskP and can run for 2 days a week with single rake and 4 days with 2 rakes. As the distance is 1850km it doesn't need SM at KGP and can return in 3 hrs. Amrit Bharat is the most suitable train for this section, better to avoid HWH depature.
