This is a super train but not good coaches timings speed are awesome
yup, it is really good train, I personally chose this train compared to Amrita express to travel to TVC. Always reaches TVC at 6-6.15am if Amrita runs on time. But return of this train eventhough same stops, has lot of running time.
12697 leaves Chennai 10min before 12695, and reaches 1hr before at TVC

Never expect good coaches in Kerala.. SR is treating Kerala as dumb yard of IR. All old coaches will be given to trains running in Kerala :( :(
Yes I have personally observed this over past 6 months all trains have oldest possible coaches
