ODD number of trains THATKAL booking should be started from 9.45 am and EVEN number at 10.00 am so as to hassle free fast booking of THATKAL Ticket .Server capacity also hope with this arrangement.Normally first 15 minute is a crucial time for Thatkal Booking.
On a first glance I liked the idea... but one glitch is there... Given the literacy rate in India, it will be a bias in favour of learned public ...
Sir, Ordinary LAYMAN people can understand ODD or EVEN numbers.
Touch wood, however for the last one year, I have booked some 20+ tickets and IRCTC never failed me. Only once after the payment screen the reservation screen didnt turn up. But I checked booked history and my ticket was there. I didnt try tatkal but I still feel things have improved than what it was 2-3 yrs back.
Sir,THATKAL booking is a very great job.Does not open site from 10 .00 am to 10.15 am .Then we have to book W/L THATKAL.
