i'm planning alone to visit guruvayur temple this week, most probably this sunday... i have two options:
1) i have planned to book tatkal ticket in 12623 or 16041.. and return in 12678 SBC ICE upto CBE and 12676 to chennai..
2) 16310 early mrng departure from chennai and in return in 12624 TVC MAIL to chennai..
which option suits best?? my doubt...

If you have no other plans except for visiting the temple, then 16041 and 16042 should be ideal. This way, you can visit the Anakotta and Mammiyoor as well. Drop the ICE idea, near impossible. Weekend Guruvayur rush is hectic and unpredictable, usually 3 hours Q.
no other plans sir.. if i opt for 16041 & 42, then i have to search for any other places around only if tym permits... i think probably 5-6 hrs have to spent somewhere.. and also i hav classes on monday.. thats y i'm looking for an early arrival.. or i hav to catch kerala exp upto CBE and BLUE MOUNTAIN to chennai..
Second option problem is it is long distance train. So may be due to your bad luck if the train gets delayed, then your plan may be spoiled
According to your second plan you are planning to take 12624, so combine both plan. Go in 16041 and come back in 12624 or 16042(16042 and 12624 reaches back to back)..
Else as you said catch Kerala Express and catch Niligiri Express.
You can also opt for going to PGT from TCR and catcin 12602 Chennai Mail, which reacehs MAS at 5:25
