Meanings of few train names running in TN :) PART 2
11.Yelagiri EXP (JTJ - MAS - JTJ) The name in which a portion of eastern ghats are called here in North TN, literally 'CARDAMOM HILLS'
12.Kovai EXP (CBE - MAS - CBE) The shortened form of the Tamil name of 'Coimbatore' - Kovan Puthur (Literally King's new town)

MS - KIK) Kamban is a Sangam poet who has translated Ramayanam to Tamil. His village 'Therazhundhur' is located in the region from which the train hails.
14.Malaikottai EXP - Rockfort EXP (TPJ - MS - TPJ) To patronize the rock fort temple present in the heart of Trichy.
15.Vaigai EXP - (MDU - MS - MDU) The sacred river in South TN on whose banks the ancient city MDU is located.
16.Chendur EXP - (TCN - MS - TCN) Chendur literally means the red town where Lord Kartikeya/Murugan killed the demons.
17.Auroville EXP (PDY MS PDY) Commemorating the international divine town near PDY
18.Kongu EXP (CBE NDLS CBE) The western region of TN (CBE TUP ED SA DPJ HSRA NMKL KRR DG PLNI POY) is called as Kongu Naadu and for which the train is named so. Kongu literally means border or honey.
19.Thirukkural EXP (CAPE - NZM - CAPE) The sacred book in Tamil which is accepted as the secular veda of the whole world, written by Thiruvalluvar.
20.Mannai EXP (MQ - MS - MQ) Mannaargudi is shortly called as Mannai and Mannaargudi literally means the kings' domain.
(Probably TN would be the only state which has train names which can be understood only if you know Tamil) (Thamizh to be more linguistic :P)
