What to say abt IR.my mom and dad traveling in this train and they are aged around 70 and 66 yrs.Railway allot then UB and SU.what is this nonsense.
LB are allotted as first come first serve basis. For SrCz passengers if quota is filled we can not blame railways.
I think in irctc site v must tick the box saying book only if lower berth is given.
Bt ofcourse in the train they can exchange their seats bt irctc must b little proper in this aspect.
I too faced similar problem.my grandmother wasnt given lb..even when many tckts were available..

but at least for Sr.Citizen person there should be some provision.
don't worry. You can ask co passenger if they can shift berth. This usually happnens when LB gets over. Hope co passenger will adjust
